When they enter into the house the shoes are kept out, a person puts milk in your house door; in the dinner they put a lot of food and ingredients, and a lot of children have a trampoline in their gardens. One very funny thing is that in the house when you press the door bell it goes cucu, cucu…
They eat without napkins and always have a drink, it’s very normal the tea with milk.
We travelled to Hereford by plane. We spent all the day in the airport, and at 20:30 we went to the plane. We arrived at Hereford at 1:30 o’clock.
When I arrived to the house I unpacked my luggage, and I went to bed.
We did a lot of trips. We visited Hereford, St. Fagans Museum and Cardiff City centre. We went also to Birmingham, Big Pit and Abergavenny, and finally Worcester.
I enjoyed all the trips, but the best ones for me were Birmingham and Cardiff City Centre. Irene
Our stay here has been comfortable. The food is strange but quite good too. We’ve tried new dishes like Fish n’ chips, chicken wings with tomato sauce…
English people are very kind but some of them are really crazy.
We are really pleased with our exchange partner’s family because they took us to the beach, mountain, amusement park…
It was really hard to adapt the characteristics because they eat earlier than in Spain.
The trips were really nice. We went to Cardiff, Birmingham, Big Pit, Abergavenny…
The families are really cool. Luis Wang y David Tomás Gaitán
Something that happened to me in England was that, one day the mother of my English partner asked me what I would like for sandwich and I told her “jam and cheese”, thinking I was telling “ham and cheese”. The mother and my English partner looked at me very strangely, and when I was in my bedroom I realized that I had said “jam and cheese” So I ran through the stairs to the kitchen, to tell the mother I was wrong and when I got into the kitchen, I saw the bottle of jam, and I told the mother, it was ham not jam. I was lucky I realized that it was ham and not jam because I would have had to eat a sandwich of jam and cheese!
They don’t get a shower every day, they get a shower only on Saturdays.
They have a lot of food in the kitchen and most of it is pre-cooked food. They don’t have lunch on weekends and Tom usually not because he throws away the food. They eat very early and they go to bed at 9:00. They have a lot of games and all the machines. Tom and his sister do the washing up and they don’t have a dishwasher.
